Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus was born between August 22, and October 31, 1451, in Genoa, Republic of Genoa, in present-day, Italy.
Columbus's first Voyage: On the evening of 3 August 1492, Columbus departed Palos de la Frontera with three, ships: one larger carrack, Santa Maria, nicknamed Gallega (the Galician), and two smaller caravels, pinta (the painted), and Santa Clara, nicknamed Nina after her owner Juan Nino of Moguer.

Columbus second Voyage: Columbus left Cadiz on 24 September 1493, to find a new territories, with seventeen ships carrying supplies, and about 1,200 men to colonize the region. The colonists include priests, farmers, and soldiers. This was part of a new policy-not just "Colonies of Explanation", but "colonies of settlement" and conversion of the natives to Christianity. The Washington Post report that "studies hint that, among their things, crew members may have included three black Africans who arrived in the New World about a decade before the slave trade began. On 13 October the ships left the Canary Islands as they had on the first voyage, fallowing a more southerly course.

New Things This Year.

I went to a movie called Transformers Dark of The Moon. I watched it three times because I like that movie! That movie was great. Also I hung out with friends, played games, went to the Fair!, and sleep in over the SUMMER. I had fun until summer was over and we had to come back to school. But at the same time I couldn't wait for school to start because I missed my friends.
